GameStop Stock Fiasco Explained

It has been steadily going up over the past few days (weekend excluded) and it does well in the after-hours which is a good sign. It's at a decent price point to make a small profit as well

*beats head on desk* why oh why didn't I get in on this?

Never too late. You won't make much with 1 or 2 shares but there is still time to make around $50 per share if you can sell it at the right time. The hype behind the stock is still there even if the company is failing

they tax that stuff here in the states, in the end I be making a little $ and mostly headaches.
Would have been $100 per share today! Over here in the UK, we have a thing called a Stocks & Shares ISA which means I don't have to pay any tax. I can deposit around £20k a year as well. Do you guys have anything like that?

It hit $330-340 today which was quite crazy. Sold 2 of my shares for a profit of £200 which was decent. Holding off on the other 2 in case it hits something closer to $400 and then I'm out.

Read from Siliconera, Regie Fils-Aime is no longer with gamestop:

Reggie Fils-Aime is no longer with GameStop. Back on April 20, 2020, the former Nintendo of America COO and president joined the company’s board of directors. However, he will leave his post in the near future at the GameStop 2021 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, which will be held in or around June 2021.

When Fils-Aime joined the GameStop Board of Directors, it was part of an effort to help build up the company. He appeared as an independent member. Also, when he joined, it was expected that people who would join would only remain for around a year.

This is one of multiple GameStop leadership shifts as of late. The company announced three changes back on March 23, 2021. Starting on March 29, 2021, COO Jenna Owens, Senior Vice President of E-Commerce Neda Pacifico, and Vice President of Supply Chain Systems Ken Suzuki will take office.

Thanks, meant to post this. So yeah, been reading out, clearly the guy was forced out.

Apparently the Chewy owner on the board wants control so he can shut down more stores and make an amazon version of games.

If the Chewy guy becomes the main guy and an announcement is made regarding that, the stock price is going to soar massively. Some good money can be made between now and that stockholder meeting
