Other GameTrailers Shut Down

If you ever looked up any game trailers or videos in general, odds are good that you came across GameTrailers website which was dedicated to gaming news trailers. Sadly after 13 years, the channel and whole setup is being shut down effective today.

As confirmed here, the shut down is sudden and everyone on the GT staff is being let go.


No doubt the rise of youtube and other sites has affected them but I hope everyone affected can land on their feet.

Wow! I wonder what led to this. GameTrailers has always been one of the best outlets for fair and well-made gaming journalism.

I've always used YouTube to search up the trailers of games I wanted to check out, so...

This is the first time I've heard about 'em.

Very sudden news indeed. Looks like they are taking some time to actually sort out the deletion of the website and everything though.

The likes of youtube and social media sharing has made them be no longer relevant

I guess the business model couldve changed
