Now before we start this, you're most likely thinking, is this legit? Yes, this is a legit contest with all prizes guaranteed (pending any unforeseen major events) and if you have any doubts, all contest prizes have always been paid out, see our old announcement boards. This is also our second console giveaway contest, which @hissae2 on forum promotion can confirm his winning of our first console giveaway.
So to this contest, the main point is to gain active referrals using our new referral addon which you can get all the info here: Using your Referral link
If you rank in the top five, these will be the prizes:
1st place: 2 - $60 valued games of your choice plus one gift card of your choice from the GL store
2nd place: $60 valued game of your choice plus one gift card of your choice from the GL store
3rd place: one gift card of your choice from the GL store
4th place: 1000 GL store points or $10
5th place: 500 GL store points or $5
Now you're wondering where is the console prize? Well if you meet certain conditions, the 1st place prize becomes a console of your choice! The conditions are for any console at a normal retail price of $400 USD or more:
You must refer 100 members
Of those 100 members, at least 75% must be active near the end of the contest
Of those 75% active, must have made over 50 posts.
Or if you want a console that retails under $400 USD:
You must refer 75 members
Of those 75 members, at least 40% must be active near the end of the contest
Of those 40% active, must have made over 30 posts.
These conditions are set in place to ensure the site gets the most out of this contest. I know they seem long, but this contest will run to December, plenty of time to meet the conditions. Which only one person can win the 1st place console prize.
As for other legal stuff, make sure you have your parent's permission if you're under 18. All prizes are paid out in USD, I will not pay the difference for more expensive shipping, loss indifference of currency, or anything else that lowers the value. If desired, I can pay out the console money/gift cards or the money value via PayPal or other gift card means, I rather not ship the console, to be honest.
I also recommend people using our site app to get people to join up, though it may be best to sign up on a pc version or actual viewing version of the site to ensure the referral link works.
