Last month, the FBI got in touch with Sony and requested information on a PlayStation 4 user who it’s alleged has been using the PlayStation Network to sell cocaine at “$34,000 per kilogram”.

As Motherboard report, the request came in the form of a search warrant filed on October 22, which was asking Sony for any and all details the company had on Curtis Alexander, who was on the PSN as Speedola20.

The FBI learned about Alexander’s alleged activities thanks to an informant, who they later used as part of a sting operation which involved purchasing 100 grams of cocaine after communicating with the suspect over both audio chat and the PSN’s messaging service.

Using a PSN to sell drugs is not a good idea becsuse PSN most likely have staff which report illegal activity to the police.

yeah PSN is by no means secure and Sony will hand anything over upon official request.

Japan id tough on drugs, so Sony Japan may more likely report drug sellers and users to the police.

But, American game companies like Microsoft and Valve's Steam may not care as much about reporting drug sellers because using drugs and alcohol is sometimes more common at school, work, and at home, so the worker at an American game company may also risk being arrested if they are also drug users. There are some American drug users who went to prison for a long time for using drugs. American prisons can also get very bad where prisoners have died from fights in prison.
