GF downtime (11/11/12)

We had some downtime early this morning for about 3 and half hours. I've contacted the host to find out why and here is the reason, I laughed at this one.

According to our data center there were a massive amount of requests from Google across multiple sites on the server(10+). They should have a safeguard in place now to mitigate the effects of that if it should ever happen again(it's very rare for that many sites on the same server to be crawled by google at the same time). So believe it or not we were DDOS'ed by Google(Yeah that gave me a chuckle after I got over being angry at the downtime). Anyway sorry for the downtime.

So there you go, google DDOS the hosting.
