Dunno if it's true, but read this on the sales of the game from that park place while browsing the net for gaming news:
A source close to Sony has told That Park Place that Sony Japan has quietly scaled back its marketing push and paid advertising for Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Yotei less than a week after its launch. According to the source, the decision comes in response to “disappointing sales trends” and a desire not to “lose money on a game that has a declining sales trajectory.”

Dunno yet so far only estimated opening physical sales in japan and uk are on the net, physical opening sales are down 40% than the first game, ghost of tsushima. Still no official announcement from Sony. The first game, ghost of tsushima sold 2.4 million copies in 3 days annouced by Sony not long after it was released.
