I was walking home tonight when I came upon this.

Yes, that's snow, in the middle of July.

It's possible. It is Summer, but that does not mean it can't get cold enough for it to snow. It's perfectly normal. I've seen it before.

It was 80 degrees out this morning, it would've had to drop at least 50 degrees to cause this and it's still reasonably warm out.

50 degrees and snow? Did you know the highest recorded temperature during a snowfall was er... about 46-48?
I mean it would have had to drop 50 degrees lower than what it was this morning.

Somebody's probably just cleaned their freezer out and chucked the ice on the ground, heh.
That's what I thought too but it's all over the place in the surrounding streets, and it looks and feels like real snow as opposed to the freezer slush.

I remember something like this years ago before any of us. A volcano erupted once and a HUGE amount of ash spewed out and blocked the sun for months and it did travel to america. and I believe I remembered reading that snow fell in the summer. Maybe it's like this but with no volcano or ash. You should contact a scientist immediately.

I might, bit I'm gonna keep an eye out for now. I think some idiot might have stored snow from winter and be spreading it around for the hell of confusing people.

Supposing it actually did snow... why would it only have fallen in like, certain spots? That just seems retarded to me to be honest, like, rain falling in nice, 2 metre circles around the street making odd wet patches. I would expect the whole street to be soaked, not certain areas. And the snow would have to had fallen from the sky, right? I'm no snow expert, but I doubt as much snow as that could just build up that quickly, as well as only in certain parts.

Do you live by a mountain range or something?

Where I'm at, we sometimes do get a little slush in the middle of Summer but that's just because of the high elevations.
