How did you get into playing video games? What got you hooked on them or peaked your interest?

My parents bought the original NES when I was a small child. I think I was in kindergarden or 1st grade. Anyway, they bought that system as a present for the whole family and that was when I got my first taste of playing video games. Then....when the Super NES came out, my brothers and I put our money together to buy that system for ourselves.

My parents bought my brothers a NES, SNES and naturally I just played the systems when they weren't around and thus I was hooked on gaming.

When my parents bought the NES, it was suppose to be for everyone even though the system was hooked up to the tv in their room. I'd sometimes have to play when my brothers weren't around.

When I got Super Mario Land 1 and 2 for the Game Boy in the 90s or so. Yeah, kind of late considering the system, but it was something. And the latter game interested me more than the former...
