So some news is spreading around that Microsoft may let their exclusives be released on other consoles like PlayStation or Switch. Would you like to see this happen?
I'd be surprised, unless they don't really plan on releasing consoles anymore or just competing in different ways. It'd be nice to play their exclusives on my PS4 though.
I think porting the older Halo games to PS4 can be a good idea to see if there is a good demand for Halo games before spending a lot of time and money on making newer Halo games work for PS4.
It's doubtful that they would release their original games on other consoles. What I think is possible is that, if they buy IPs like PUBG they might release it on other consoles, as per the agreement with the seller/developer. Like what happened with Minecraft.
I know literally nobody who owns an Xbox One, so I guess it makes sense to quit exclusives.
Also, the topic title feels very clickbaity, don't you think? (´・ω・`)
Could be, but the title is very different from the initial post regardless. wnot really, there is talk the series could pop up on the rival console.
Absolutely! I currently play on the PS4 and for a very long time I have been contemplating on getting an Xbox One (S or X, but X preferably). It just seems impractical if you already have enough to play on a single console. I can't even afford every game that I like for it, so getting another console which opens me up to a broader selection could just lead to option paralysis.
The idea sounds absurd at first, but it's very possible. Sega's a good example --- they gave in, threw away their pride, and they were able to stay afloat. I think it's fair to say they've had many successes since then, specially now that they're about to release Shenmue I and II in a single HD package.
And to think Sega and Microsoft had a partnership with the Dreamcast before. Maybe they're still in touch with each other and Microsoft is learning a bit from Sega?
