Nintendo normally sells their games at full price for a good while. Sometimes it'll take a year or a couple for a game's price to go down. Regular games like Pokemon Black or Pokemon White 2, they generally stay at the same price since those games are always on demand..

3rd party games tend to cost less because they usually aren't as popular..or they just aren't that good.

Only on the Wii U. I mean up until the Wii U, console games sold for 49.99. Now they're 59.99. As for hand held games, they usually go for 39.99. I've never seen a new DS game go for more than $50.

Also how long has there been a "best answer" thing?

Xbox 360 and PS3 games have always been $60, Wii games were only $50 because there was less power behind them. Now that they're pretty much equal, they cost the same.
