It's been the way - African way with parents. It's never going change.

I may not have liked some things but pure hate, no. My parents are my best friends. I’ve always been close to both of them. More so my mom when I was younger then after my dad retired & had more time, we were able to become closer as well. They are humans & can make mistakes just as much as any other human. So I don't hold grudges for the learning curve.

When a parent takes very good care of their kids, it's going to be very difficult for the kid to hate on them. But for cases where a kid was abused by his or her parent, there's a high tendency to hate on them for the rest of the kid's life.
