Having a good art is miles more important than having a good animation

I believe that is the case and if the art is bad, even if the animation is good, it can't do much to the anime.

I’d rather have better animation. You can grow to like the art style as it goes on, but nothing will fix the bad animation.

It takes a balance of both, too much wrong in one kills the other.
