Hedda is a perfectly solid film that was very much what I expected. That is to say, it was good, but I wasn't very surprised by it.
The performances and cinematography were great. The writing was very good, but honestly never really became emotional for me.
The film is very much a character focused drama, which does kind of weaken the film a little simply because the main character, Hedda, wasn't really the strongest part of the film.
In fact, I would go so far as to say that there really wasn't a strongest part of the film. Everything in it was good, but there was also nothing that really stood out to me.
In the end, I would recommend a watch, and I would also say to go in expecting a very good film, that just never really reaches a particular strong suit.
