Help me remember a game

When I was 4 or 5 years old (not sure) I really liked a game on PS1. The problem is the whole thing is on japanese so I can't read the title. I can remember that the game is JRPG, and the setting is on floating islands. I remember a quest that you need to fix a magitek-like thing. About the character I really not sure but I think it's not human he wears a blue patrolman-like outfit. That's all I remember.

Thank you all for your help. But sadly I still can't remember it. By viewing those games, I see there are lot of games I still didn't know/ didn't yet played. Those games are really cool JRPG, I might try to play all those when I got time. Once again, thank you.

the fact its in japanese makes it harder, since Japan got more games than other regions, for obvious reasons.

Not going to joke here, Chunithm (arcade game) even blatantly states during boot-up that using the machines outside of Japan is equal to copyright violation, and thus the user will be sued.
Nice going SEGA!

The boot-up screen is not something anyone will ever see any way, since arcade personnel always boot up far before opening times.
