Help people, save games missing!?

Hello all! This is my first post in the forum,

Anyways brought a 3DS XL today, simply due to the big screen, it looks great.

Anyways, I am having trouble with the SD card situation! I know you are meant to do a system transfer between old system and new one. However I didnt see the point as I have never brought anything from the nintendo online store, and the game in questions always state, "saving to sd card".

So I put old sd card into 3ds and nothing!

I even copied data from it to the new 4gb sd card that comes with the xl. Again again no save game data showed!!

When I put the SD card into computer everything is shown from the sd card but not on 3ds!

What is going on??

Sorry to say, but in a transfer like that, the only thing that doesn't stay is the save files. I believe I read about that before somewhere.
 
Sometimes the 3DS doesn't download games directly to the SD card. Try going into the 3DS settings to see if you can find anything.
 
Setting under data management right? Checked that, nothing there. However got pictures from old 3ds.

The data is definatly there as on a 4gb card so much is has been used,

If it doesnt get saved to game card, or the sd card. Then where? The console itself?!
