I bet all of you have heard about Boku no Hero Academia after this pic went viral on the internet. http://i.imgur.com/W3fpblg.jpg
I've been reading this Manga since it came out and it is strikingly similar to Naruto. The creator of this manga is a big Naruto fan. The protagonist also is similar to Naruto in the sense that he is alone and has a dream which is excruciatingly hard for him to achieve.
I won't spoil too much of this Manga for you but I'd highly recommend it.
It is a masterpiece and I'm willing to say it will reach the same heights as Dragon Ball, Naturo, One Piece and Bleach have.
I wish something more engaging would come along. I seem to enjoy the old school so much more. Seems to me that the newer anime and manga producers only want to clone from their favourites instead of adding originality. Many of the shows are overly predictable.
Yoo, I've been reading Boku no Hero Academia pretty much since it started as well! Believe it was at about chapter 4 when I began reading. It's so s so so good!
NanouHammie, My Hero Academia is really the up-and-coming thing, quickly got extremely popular in Japan! Despite the mangaka saying he's inspired by Naruto, there really isn't much of a similarity. And really, even the classics have clear inspirations from certain things (Naruto from Hunter x Hunter, One Piece from the works of Akira Toriyama, etc...), but at one point they all branch off and become their own thing. Boku no Hero has managed to do that pretty early on, in my opinion, and it's a great read.
Skeith, My Hero Academia is basically a superhero manga, reminiscent of the Disney Channel movie Sky High, if you've ever watched that. In the future, it has become commonplace for humans to be born with something called a quirk, a special ability. The protagonist, of course, is one of the unlucky ones without one, and yet he desires to become a professional hero no matter what! Don't want to say much more in case you want to read, since what follows isn't all too predictable just from what I've said. Do hope it gains a wider western audience!
What Zikkled said is so true!
Boku no Hero is inspired from Naruto, but even though it is similar to Naruto, it is also extremely different. What I meant to say is that, the characters life resembles the life of Naruto, as Naruto was also lonely in the beginning. Almost every Shounen Manga/Anime has the same type of protagonist who starts out weak and gains strength through their journey but they all are very different.
I'd highly recommend reading Boku no Hero to everyone. "You're going to love this, trust me". XD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGUB88dBwlY
Seems interesting to be honest. But if it will get as big as you say it would, it might be a better idea for me to wait xD. I have a hard time keeping up with ongoing manga, especially the long ones. So I only read a few ongoing manga at a time. I prefer marathoning something if it's that long.
