When it comes to how I usually unclog my sink or even my toilet, I'm usually old fashioned with it. The good old plumbing tools are what I use and they work just fine.

How do you go about yours?

I use a crumble like substance called lye, pour it in with boiling hot water from a pan and within a minute it's clog free.

The plunger works quite well. We also try to prevent clogs by being careful what goes down a sink, or a toilet. We have a Pet hair drain catcher for our tub so pet fur as well as human hair doesn't go down the drain.

Being careful with what goes in the sink is the major thing that anyone should do. I prefer that instead of having to unclog it which will take extra efforts.

Unless you have something like a sieve in your sink to prevent particles from entering it, I don't see any other way of stopping it.

CLR Clear Pipes & Drains and Drano Max Gel Liquid Clog Remover have been what I use for the job. They unclog it as quickly as possible.

I usually call for the service guy.
