How long before a 3D games console?

Do you think there will ever be a console made just to play 3D games? The televisions haven't sold that well so it makes me wonder if any of the big developers and console manufactures would support it fully but I feel like it is possible a 3D console platform will come out eventually.

Are you talking about the 3D viewing like 3DS?
3D was a fad, that came and passed as evident of lack of 3D made movies and the 2DS.

I think there maybe 3D arcade systems at Arcades, theme parks like Disneyland, and electronics shows like CES, so people can play 3D games for a few dollars, or free. But, there probably won't be any 3D consoles unless you count Oculus Rift Virtual Reality goggles attached to a PC playing 3D games as a 3D console.
