In general? So say we get to Smash Bros 5 or 6 for whatever reason (and don't give me crap like Sakurai doesn't want to make them, Nintendo will probably order him to if Smash Bros 4 is a success). How many characters should the games have total?
Smash Bros Melee had 25
Brawl had 35...
So if the fourth game has about 50 to 60, how many should the later games have?
Is there such a thing as too many playable characters?
What would a one hundred or two hundred strong All Star Mode be like?
I think at around 50 they should either start deciding what characters are favorites and what characters can go. There are also assist trophies remember so characters show up there to. (Ex: Starfy is already an assist trophy)
I think their roster right now is pretty tight. Maybe include some more third party games (No more heroes for example) and bring back Mewtwo!
I think 50 max. I kinda liked what they did between Melee and Brawl; kept the core characters, added some, yet removed the ones that could be slightly forgotten (Pichu, Dr. Mario, etc.). Although Brawl introduced such a solid set of permanent characters, I could see Lucario being replaced with another legendary, or even Lucas.
I think 50 would be a reasonable number. And please add 2 or Paper Mario characters in the next one (Paper Mario himself and a partner from the first game)!
If they cant get alot playable characters, then it would still be awesome to just give them cameos in the movie story thing(like subspace etc), so we can still play them but not unlock (yet) ? idk
