I know my pal lives in a pretty remote area for a big company that doesn't allow remote work, which is sad because I don't see how they can get new workers like that.
There are definitely so many ways to take advantage of the internet for those who knows how to do so.

I feel improving the affordability of high speed internet, and internet downloads and upload speeds on rural internet service could help improve people chances of finding jobs like photo editors, video editors, online radio host, and game streaming where they can work remotely.

This is true. Opening the door to the bigger world is what the internet does. One can't fault such decision as most rural based people will have access to better job opportunities.
