Well, it seems like there are more remote jobs that allow you to work from home these days. As long as you have the internet, and possibly a phone, then you'll be able to work from home and not have to worry about driving into town.

The internet is basic and that is why I am hoping a lot of communities have access to cheap internet connection.
Rural occupant's can get a jobs if those good companies situated at the urban areas can come to the rural areas and establish their branches.

Those who are living in rural areas can only get jobs which is available in their setting. If companies have their business located in that area, the residents will take on the jobs they offer.
We live rural. Some people prefer to live in the country & just deal with the 30 minute, even an hour commute. To them, it's worth it. Some jobs like factory work cannot be done remotely. But for those who are able to, they do take advantage of that type of work. Even if they have to go into the office a day or two a week.

Elon Musk is one big fish who is vehemently against working from home. He had his reasons though but that's a crap move from him in my opinion.
