This happened to me last week, one hour to play a video game (damn you college work), wanted to play Destiny but guess what? Between Destiny updates and PS3 updates, I only had 20 *beep* minutes instead of an hour.

We used to run into these issues with my old roommate. We'd just do other stufff while we waited, but it was still a pain. I guess that's what you get as games become more internet based. Maybe it'll become better with time?

Only way it would get better, is if the system auto updates the second the patch or whatever is available.

Those are the advantages old games have over new ones. I remember Mario kart 64 or Goldeneye took about 30 seconds to start up and get a game going. Now to play a game on new gen consoles it can take 5 minutes just to start up really.

not that long, but some can be that bad.
