If you could exchange your current PlayStation...

I pick a powerful Steam Machine with lots of RAM and storage, fast CPU, and fast videocard because Steam Machines are basically computers with the Steam OS installed on it. But, I probably install Linux and Windows on another hard drive or hard drive partition, so I can play Windows-only games, and use Desktop programs like word processors, music players, and video players in Windows or Linux.

I think it is not a good idea to get a new console at this time because version 2 of the Xbox One, and the Nintendo NX will be released soon.

Nope for me as well, wouldn't give my PS up for anything.

No way. I feel that the PS4 is the best console available. Great games, great controllers, no problems.

I think will still stick to what I've used to, as long as it's still working good on me ;) but if it's even freely then I'll be forced to accept it lol

So, Steam Machines are basically Valve's version of Chromebooks?

I think Steam Machines are mainly designed to play Linux games. But, it is possible to install a media player like XBMC on the same Steam Machine, so you can also watch video and music on the Steam Machine.

I think some Steam Machine should let you start-up your Machine from a secondary hard drive, drive partition, USB Storage drive which has Windows, Ubuntu Linux or other Linux OS installed on it which adds more features to a Steam Machine by using another operating system.

While I'm not a PlayStation fan boy by any means,, I do think of all the consoles available that the PlayStation 4 is probably the best of the bunch. Aswell as the PlayStation 4, I've also got an Xbox ONE aswell and while it's not a bad gaming system, I don't think it's as good as the Sony.

Put it this way, if I had to sell one, then the Xbox is the console I'd be getting rid of, and as for putting the Wii U in this list, then there's no contest in my opinion.

The Playstation 4 (PS4) is DEFINITELY the best of all three consoles, especially with the PSVR coming out in October as the gaming experience of this system will take a quantum leap forward. Out of the other two, I'd probably trade the XBox One in before the Wii U since the Wii U happens to appeal to a younger age group and there is less overlap between the two consoles. Generally, 70-80% of the titles can be found for both the PS4 and Xbox One but a far less significant % are found between the PS4 and WiiU. Of course, I'd certainly trade in the Wii U before the PS4.

A no from me as well. Unless the console would be such an upgrade that I could sell that one again and buy back a playstation AND have some profit on top of that.

Damn, I don't think there is a console out there worth trading a Sony console for these days. But I guess if I had the choice to trade an extra one for a whole bunch of consoles then I would give up a PS4 for a Dreamcast, NES, Sega Genesis, PSP and a regular X Box with a 20 title games. All with two controllers of course but if there was one stand alone gaming system I would trade it for I would say a PS4 for a PS Vita with 15 games attached to it.

I currently own the playstation 3, so it's definitely not the most exciting console ever and I would actually exchange it if I could, especially for a Wii u, a friend of mine owns one and I fell in love when I went to his place and played with that console, it was so comfortable for me! And I actually really like Mario games in general, so that's a plus, I guess.

That's debatable... I'd choose an Xbox One over a PS 4 any day of the week...

The Sony versus Microsoft debate as been around for a long time now and the way I see it, it's always going to be down to personnel preference. Personally I'd choose the Playstation over the Xbox but to stop all the debate, then why not have both? The consoles these days are cheaper than they have ever been, so as gamers, just picking one side over another we're cutting our nose off to spite our face. If we love gaming, then both consoles have a lot to offer.
