I really need to start getting active as well. This little period of time where we are working from home is not good for me, or anyone really in terms of health.
I love bowling! I can completely relate though when it comes to utilizing certain muscles you don't usually work out. It's difficult but we have to remember to keep moving to help improve circulation and ultimately over all recovery. The built lactic acid can be so painful.
When you use different muscles in a game you haven't played or haven't played in a long time, you will feel it.
While I haven’t bowled in a very long time, I do like it. However, I am not good at it lol I think back to when we had to take it in P.E. class & was graded. I always thought that was unfair. Not all of us are good at sports. Plus we had to learn how to keep score. I had my brother-in-law at the time help explain it better as our teacher pretty much just put us in there & expected us to ‘just know’.
I used to enjoy running, and would do the local Parkrun on an almost weekly basis..
I got pretty consistent with running 5K in about 27-28 minutes, which isn't the fastest time I know - but I was pretty happy with it.
I haven't done it for a while though, and after initially losing a lot of weight during lockdown, I've probably now gained more than when I started.. :flushed:
I keep meaning to start trying to get back in to shape, but.. it's doing it.
I can relate to this post on a spiritual level. I've been dieting for about a month now, doing keto. I had an accident a couple months ago where I fell through the ceiling while in my attic, at my follow up doctor's appointment they weighed me and I was at my heaviest in my entire life.
So, I figured I needed to do something. I'm losing weight, can't get back to exercise and such yet while I'm still recovering but it's a start. Already down 10lbs.
