Imagine if Microsoft buys Nintendo

If it was a monopoly then I would be concerned. Honestly, I think the offer is just a sign of the greed Microsoft has. It would clearly never work out but they can publish on the console any time.
 
I feel video games and consoles maybe more expensive if Microsoft buys Nintendo because there is less competition.
 
If it is done how Sony did it with Bungie I think it be a good thing for Nintendo, they need a lot of modern day help like network infrastructure and getting modern practices.

Unless a hostile takeover happens, it will never happen.
 
I would hope not because I think it's better to have different gaming companies doing their own thing. Microsoft and Sony just buying up every gaming company would be awful.
 
There is a side of me that would really love to see Nintendo games with a good online system and on PC. But I would much rather see Nintendo stay what they are just due to all the history of the company and the strange routes they take with consoles to just keep gaming interesting.

There are crossplay setups but it's on a game-to-game basis. IMO the best online system was the Wii-Wii U and DS-New 3DS system which was free. Yeah, online play is different but most times it's the turn-based stuff that's still doable I tend to enjoy when lag is rarely the issue.
 
Already I know, Nintendo wouldn't be sold to Microsoft company. Nintendo just want to develop their video game company to be on same level with Microsoft and not just playing second fiddle to Microsoft.
 
I think Nintendo already bought out Sega. That's why Nintendo can make any Sonic games they want. Sonic the Hedgehog was exclusive to Sega.
 
If Sega did ever go up for sale, I doubt Nintendo would be bothered about buying them. Think it would cost too much for them to be bothered about the ips they would gain.

Idk, Nintendo would get more gains out of it, especially since Sega owns Altus. The sad thing here, is that Atlus’ IP’s are probably worth more than Sega’s IP’s right now. Sonic’s basically been a joke for 20 years, and they haven’t kept up with their other IP’s in ages either.
 
I don't know what I'd do if Microsoft actually did buy out Nintendo. I don't know if I'd keep being a Nintendo fan if they made too many drastic changes to their products to make them more like the X-box's and whatnot.
