If you could invent your own game, what would you invent?

What would your game be about? What would be the purpose of playing it?

What would make your game special?

A platformer for sure, something fun and interactive like old Mario, Spyro and sly cooper like games.

I would love to make a platformer similar to Sonic. Fast paced platformers are my favorite ones, but alas I'm only decent enough at modifying existing code so I can make rom hacks lol.

I would want to make a Japanese RPG game like Final Fantasy which has a lot of quests, monster to hunt, and places to explore.

I’d create an open-world survival game on a ruined Earth where players rebuild society or fight for control.
The special part would be that every choice permanently changes the world and story.
