I have never ever played a Zelda game but I will buy a game a game I am on a game hunt now so I will buy it.it better be a long game and Bette not be short.

If you don't count the cinematics and if you know where everything is, Ocarina of Time could run you about 6 hours if you collect everything. Add the cinematics, exploration (first time playing) and account for any times you may get stuck (such as the water temple which confused me the very first time playing) the game should run you around 12 hours. The 3DS version also comes with a second version that was originally only on the Game Cube where puzzles have been changed (which I found easier) called Master Quest.

Man! To complete the main storyline and Master Quest on OoT it took me just about 65 hours o.o Maybe I was just really slow at it xDD

I have em both on GC and beat them both the day I got the disc. But, you have to keep in mind that I also have everything in the game memorized from the N64 version as I played that game to death, so I speed scrolled most text and knew where I was going and all that.

I forgot to reply to this when I voted. While OoT was excellent, I feel the pinnacle of the series thus far was Twilight Princess. The time mechanic was frustrating, as you had to return to a specific place to switch, and it wasn't used all that much unless you were completing sidequests. (You only had to go back in time twice once you went forward). Seeing as Time was the whole aspect of the game, it wasn't used all that skillfully. Was it an excellent game? Of course. However, Twilight Princess took all the great elements and refined it. The aspect of turning back and forth into a wolf was used with a lot more skill than OOT did, as it was integral throughout the whole game, rather than just a couple times and a single plot element. In my mind, it's a modern OOT anyway, but with much better planning for how each element is used along the way.

On a side note, I know I've expressed my love for the GBC Zelda games before, but Oracle of Ages handled the whole time mechanic better than OOT...you had multiple places to warp back and forth between past and present (you could do it anywhere by the end) and it was used constantly throughout the game. Heck, Mermaid Cave required the use of time travel just to finish it! That's good use of a gimmick that the game is named after/known for.

I'm more of a twilight princess/skward sword kinda dude myself. :/ but i did have a gamecube game with oot, mm, the original and 2nd zelda, and a demo for ww, before it came out :)

My favorite videogame of all time is Zelda Ocarina of Time, plus the graphics and animation are outstanding. Ive n64 Zelda Ocarina of Time, Zelda Ocarina of Time on the gamecube with wind waker, Zelda Ocarina of Time on wii virtual console and Zelda Ocarina of Time on 3ds

This can't really be answered, because not only is it a matter of opinion, but people will continue to change their opinions as Nintendo releases new games. Best Zelda ever on the other hand, I would have to say yes, considering I haven't played MM yet.
