Well, we seem to get people talk about how it needs 'fixing' or how to 'save' the Zelda series, but let's ask the obvious question:

Is there really anything wrong with the Zelda series that needs fixing or are people complaining just for the sake of complaining?

What do you think?

The whole motion-controlled thing has gotten a lot of people upset, apparently, but I certainly don't think it's doomed the series. And, not for nothing, the HD remake of Wind Waker might give a few new gamers a chance to get into the Zelda experience. That's never a bad thing.

I wish that were true, but they chose wind waker, and just too many people hate the style of the game to give it a shot which sucks... Figures too, they're missing out big time.

I think it's time for Nintendo to go crazy a little bit and take some high risks with innovation towards the formula.

People who hate WW's art style are either ignorant or value realistic graphics way too highly.

I hate realistic graphics, they make seeing things so difficult.

I love all Zelda games, but the recent titles are a little stale compared to the earlier releases. I definitely prefer realistic graphics, but experimenting a few times wont hurt the series. I have no doubt that the next Zelda games on Wii U and 3DS will be outstanding. Nintendo realizes what they did wrong with Skyward Sword, although I do like the game, they sacrificed way too much for the motion controls. I dont mind them trying new things with the series, as long as it still feels like Zelda.

I don't think it's getting better exactly, but there's nothing wrong with Zelda right now.

And, I love Toon Link so much more than Realistic Link.

Wind Waker.

Phantom Hourglass.

Spirit Tracks.

Yup.

When you think about it Zelda is in need of a bunch of "fixing". Or a gameplay-makeover.

I found this article and I find pretty much everything about it spot-on. http://tevisthompson.com/saving-zelda/

Zelda 1's open world is the best. There is no plot that slows you down or any locked areas, the world is open right as you start up. The modern Zelda games have long plots that forces you to do everything in a specific order and items act kinda like keys to new areas.

I think the best they could do would be to remove the guides. (Navi,Fi,Midna)

Every time you stumble into something new they pop up and gives you all facts imiedetly, you don't get to figure out much by yourself.

I hope the next Zelda will have these things in mind..

Just like Navi's 'Hey, listen' then gives you facts.
