This is not an onion article surprisingly enough. This is a real news story. Pineapple on pizza has gotten an Italian chef fired.

Just wait until I visit the restaurant and ask for ketchup on my pasta...

The article states he did it because he deemed it offensive, not because it's a special request. It also says it's not the first time he's done it which tells me that pineapple was on the menu as a topping choice.

Well then he deserves to be fired.

You have the right to discuss this internally for a decision to be made or quit if you don't agree. Not force it on customers when you don't even own the restaurant.

At this point it's not about if pineapple on pizza is right or wrong.
 
That's hilarious, though he does deserve to be fired for refusing to do his job regardless if you like pineapple on pizza or not. (It really isn't as bad as corn on pizza!)
 
Time for the senate to make a bill on it lol
