I really don't think anyone cares what you call the region, they're both valid names.

I still get a little mixed up when it comes to English and Japanese names sometimes, just because I was calling them the Japanese names for a long time. I still call Darmanitan Hihidaruma sometimes. I do think people should at least correct themselves and say Unova though.
