Just bought some new PC components

Fresh leaks just out so there will be RTX 5070 ti Super with 24gb VRAM too :

NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 50 SUPER Series refresh, launching in late 2025, features a significant 50% VRAM increase across models, with up to 24GB GDDR7 memory and higher boost clocks. The RTX 5070 SUPER also gains CUDA cores, enhancing performance for gaming and AI workloads on the Blackwell architecture.

A few power houses in that list.
Indeed and the RTX 5070 ti Super probably going to be a good bargain too as it will have the same amount of VRAM like the upcoming RTX 5080 super 24Gb VRAM that I want and with only fewer RT, Tensor and Cuda cores. Will see on the performance difference when they are out, might end up getting the RTX 5070 ti Super instead of the RTX 5080 super if the performance difference between the 2 is negligible enough and the price is cheaper enough to justify it...

According to latest leak the Super version with the 24 Gb and 18Gb VRAMs will have the same prices as their 16 and 12 GB non super model. Nice, significant Video Memory amount Upgrade with no price increment!

The rumored Super refresh for Nvidia’s RTX 50 series is drawing ever closer. And now, a new price leak for the GPUs has surfaced online. We already expect the new cards to finally give us more VRAM, and it looks like we could be getting that extra memory for the same price as the original cards, after some in-house pricing revisions, according to the leak.

To us, this seems expected, given that Nvidia (mostly) sold the RTX 40 series Super cards for the same MSRP as the original models, except the RTX 4080 Super, which got a much-needed $200 price cut. Based on what we saw in the 40 series, the new Super cards could be released in early 2026 – but a recent claim from Tweaktown says they’re on track for a holiday 2025 launch.

Graphics cardVRAM (rumored)Price (leaked)
RTX 5080 Super24GB GDDR7$999
RTX 5070 Ti Super24GB GDDR7$749
RTX 5070 Super18GB GDDR7$549
The refresh is said to utilize newer 3GB memory modules, rather than the previous 2GB models. Hence, why the cheapest option, the RTX 5070, is expected to get an unusual 18GB spec – a much-appreciated uplift from the previous 12GB, given the state of memory usage in modern AAA titles.

Both the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 Super are expected to deliver 24GB of GDDR7 VRAM, which means it will be the first time a 24GB graphics card has launched significantly below $1,000.

It's crazy indeed.

At least NVIDIA decided not to increase the price further with the upgraded VRAM RTX 5000 Super series.

So latest rumor said the RTX 5080 super 24GB VRAM will most likely launch in march - may 2026, from benchlife and videocardz:

The GeForce RTX 50 Super series graphics cards, originally expected to debut in January, will most likely launch in the first or second quarter of 2026, most likely between March and May, rather than the previously rumored CES 2026; Computex 2026 will take place from June 2 to 5, 2026.

According to earlier reports, the GeForce RTX 50 Super series will cover both the 80 and 70 tiers of graphics cards, including the RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, and GeForce RTX 5080. If nothing unexpected happens, the GeForce RTX 5080 Super and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Super will see their memory upgraded to 24GB of GDDR7, while the GeForce RTX 5070 Super will see its memory capacity increased from 12GB to 18GB.

In addition to upgrading the GDDR7 memory from 2GB to 3GB per core, the GeForce RTX 50 Super series will also see an improvement in CUDA Cores, but this increase will inevitably increase TGP (Total Graphics Power).

Well I am skipping Ps5, Ps6 and Ps7 at the very least. Thus I can redirect the money/savings for that to build a new gaming Tifa PLOT lol PC instead that will last for at least a couple gaming gens. Since sony is now bringing all their games to Pc too. And I have to upgrade my pc anyway for the resource hog DCS with its beefy Pc requirements that continues to increase year after year. Might as well build new one that's powerful. Thus killing 2 things in one go.

Seasonic is planning to release their new PSUs in 2026 with Optiguard, like Asrock's Tempguard. Looks like Seasonic one will be more advanced and better than the Asrock one. Hmmm probably going to get the Seasonic PSU instead of the Asrock PSU in 2026 for the RTX 5080 24GB.

The DRAM Price Surge because of AI computing hardware DRAM demand (that's causing memory shortages everywhere) forces NVIDIA to delay the RTX 5000 Super series with more VRAM to Q3 2026, Dang! need to wait even longer to play TIFA PLOT II on my new to be completed PC!

AMD is planning to increase gaming GPU Prices because of the DRAM shortages AI thing, NVIDIA is sure to follow dang! hopefully by the time RTX 5080 super 24Gb Vram launches in q3 2026 the GPU prices will not be that bad, will see...

Read from wccftech, samsung has entered mass production state for the 3GB GDDR7 memory modules needed for the super version of the rtx 5000 series. Hopefully this will help the rtx 5000 super version delays and will also help the memory shortage situation because of AI thing and inturn will help fix the memory price surge situation too:

Samsung has changed its plans, as it has just entered Mass Production state for the 3 GB GDDR7 memory modules. The company has two faster variants of the 3 GB GDDR7 chips, clocked at 32 Gbps and 36 Gbps memory speed. However, both of them are in the Sampling state. The one that entered Mass Production is the 28 Gbps chip.

Hopefully, NVIDIA utilizes the faster ones on the Super series, which won't just increase the VRAM capacity, but will also deliver higher memory bandwidth for improved gaming performance. At the moment, the RTX 50 Super launch is still in the shadows due to higher DRAM costs

so from stuff I read RTX 5080 super 24 Gb Vram version might be pushed even further to 2027 because of the memory shortage issue because of AI thing dang it! Now I am thinking of getting the Nvidia RTX Pro 4000 Blackwell with 24 GB Vram. This GPU is good for both gaming and 3d rendering work stuff, with low power consumption. and the price of this GPU is still relatively normal for now lol unlike the upcoming crazy price hike of Nvidia's mainstream gaming GPU rtx series...

Asus warns price hike, read from tom's hardware, dang it:

According to a new statement from Asus, the company will start raising prices on several products starting January 5, citing cost pressures on DRAM and storage, driven by AI demand. Although the company has yet to mention by how much it will increase its prices, it’s following the footsteps of Dell, which has previously announced hikes of up to 30%. Framework has also raised the prices of its memory modules twice in recent months, with the company announcing that it will stop selling standalone RAM kits, as well as the possibility of another price hike in early 2026.

Asus' statement, as published by TrendForce, means that the company will join Dell and Framework as the first companies to announce cost adjustments among business and consumer PC manufacturers. TrendForce expects that surging memory prices will dampen the growth of the PC market, with laptop shipments expected to contract by 5.4% to 10.1% year-on-year. This falls in line with IDC’s estimate of a 5% drop in PC shipments in a moderate scenario, with worst-case scenarios modeling a 9% reduction in global shipments.

With all the gloom and doom and upcoming gpu price hike because of the dang AI thing making the super version of rtx 5080 24gb highly unlikely to be made this year and might even be canceled alltogether I decided to get the msi rtx 5080 ventus 3x oc while the price is still good enough. Saw one near msrp price. And the psu Asrock 850g Phantom gaming atx 3.1 with temp guard. If all goes well my Tifa PLOT Gaming PC should be completed real soon.... finally ! lol
