Kingdom Hearts GBA Hits PS2 in December

Square Enix announced today that Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, the Disney-filled RPG originally released on Game Boy Advance, will see an updated release for PlayStation 2 on December 2.

Originally developed by Jupiter, the card-based hack-and-slash Game Boy Advance title bridged the gap between the first two Kingdom Hearts games. The Square Enix-developed PlayStation 2 version is a 3D remake that has been out in Japan for some time.

Yes, this game is basically a 3D version of the GBA CoM, but there’s a little bit more than just a prettier look, most notably these:

Bosses/Enemies
-You can now fight Zexion in Reverse/Rebirth.
-Marluxia has yet another form for you to fight in the final battle.

Features
-Full voice-acting.
-A new and improved soundtrack, including completely new tracks.
-Theater Mode in place of Link Mode; you can watch every single cutscene in the game. (unlockable)
-A few changes to the storyline, i.e. Zexion’s death and such.

Game play
-Reaction Commands
-All battles now in 3D.
-New version of Trinity Limit.
-Glide (!!!!)
-Premium and Wild Map Cards
-New cards and sleights.
-Riku has a duel system in Reverse/Rebirth.
-Four new minigames.
