I was flipping through the tv channels this morning and I came across the VH1 channel and they were talking about a singer called Lady Gaga being the best singer in 2009. Well I'm more of a over the seas music lover so I don't pay much attention here in the US but what's up with Lady Gaga? and why is she called lady gaga?
I think she is called Lady Gaga because of something music related like a song. I'm not really a fan of her music. But, congrats for her for winning the title.

I think she is trying too hard to be weird with her ridiculous sense of fashion. Papparatzi, and Let's Dance is catchy.
Pssh, I don't listen to radio or care really about the popularity of music (well actually I try to listen to the more unpopular bands, easier concerts to get in). But she's a pretty awesome chick, I don't care about her gender, and I admire her stagemenship and the way she knows how to work people's minds. Plus she's very catchy and isn't singing about well singing and now the way that the person is? I mean though I appreciate her as a whole I don't believe that the way she is presented in the spotlight should really effect her quality as a singer.

She has somewhat of a good taste in beats but her voice is just horrid and her overall display of herself is disturbing

that does suck and can be bad for the Techno lovers.
She said she's a performer in an interview before. There's even a whole music branch (visual kei) that is dedicated to fashion choices. Really, where have some of our styles come from? The "emo kids" "metal heads" "Hip hop" even the "country folk" all have their look. Besides she knows how to get attention. I mean look how everyone talks about her, she gets herself out there and known.
Her latest music video "Telephone" with Beyonce is very different. I think she is so popular because people are tired of all the same old music and styles from Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson.
What makes her so popular is her daring and risky style of fashion, dancing, and music. You don't have to like her, and you don't even have to know her, but don't start bashing her.
I like the fact that she's unique. I've seen enough rappers with chains around their necks, singing about money and women and killing people. I've seen enough pop stars like Brittney Spears or Beyonce. Their all the frigging same.
Lady Gaga mixes it up, and her songs are quite catchy.
I don't know where she got the name, but she is a big part of the illuminati. She is probably one of the main ones that are spreading secret messages subliminally through the minds all around the world.
