Laptop getting overheated....

It's been 5 years....so....I suppose it's no longer a good working device....

Still, I just hope it won't explode on me.

You're lucky to get 5 years out of a laptop without it starting to break and cause problems. Time to start saving up for a new one.

Maybe it is time for a new laptop or desktop PC. Newer versions of software and games can use a lot of CPU and RAM hardware resources.

5 years is good life for a laptop which a user uses for many hours per day.

Does it overheat just from sitting on a desk/table, or do you have it sit on a bed or something similar? Having it sit on a bed can block airflow.
