I have experienced this. My HP Sleekbook is not at all designed for games. I have found that after a few hours of playing an emulator or simple steam game, my laptop will fairly hot. I could always invest in a cooling pad, but I don't play enough on my laptop to worry about it much. If you play a ton though, I would definitely look for a good cooling pad to help you laptop out a bit.
