Mastodon sounds familiar. It's that the social network you talking about on other thread(I forgot what thread)? Why do you prefer that?
Yes, it's an SNS platform.

I prefer Mastodon because:
1. It's open source, so everyone can contribute to the code.
2. Opinions that differ from what American or European politicians want you to believe are not being censored away (like on Facebook), and won't get you shadow banned (like on Twitter). Admitted the person who invented Mastodon is extreme left wing, but at least he doesn't make any effort to dictate his users to what opinions they are allowed to have, which is what Facebook, Twitter, Google, Apple, Microsoft, and now even Spotify are doing (even if you're not an American nor European, the entire world is affected).
3. Mastodon doesn't spy on you.
4. Lolicon!

Lots of Lolicon content on Pawoo.net (which is the Mastodon instance by Pixiv), because Pixiv users got fed up with Twitter that kept banning people only because they were sharing their lolicon artwork there.

This is because Twitter is American, and American law sees lolicon as "paedophilia".
Meanwhile Pixiv (and this Pawoo.net) is Japanese, and Japanese law sees lolicon as a nerdy subculture alongside anime and other 2D art (except that lolicon is either R-15, R-18, or R18G depending on the content, while most other stuff is G rated).

Meanwhile, Pawoo.net has always been the biggest Mastodon instance in user count (in Toot count that's mstdn.jp, making both together far bigger than the "official" instance: mastodon.social).
That's the reason for number 4.
