Log Horizon

I know that my friend who is very big into anime and VN's tried watching this, and she'd always describe what was happening when she was watching it. To say that it sounded...disappointing would be an under statement.

I'm really liking this anime. The plot is well thought out and keeps you interested. It doesn't reach SAO's level in terms of action, but its still pretty good for the genre.
What I liked about Log Horizon is that it was more about the characters than just action. I thought SAO had some great action but that was the extent of why I liked it when they were trapped in half of the season. Although Log Horizon did start annoying me when it wanted to have a bunch of female characters going after the male character again Especially ones that don't make any sense in relationship sense.  I'm looking forward to the next season of LH but just hope they keep the relationships in the background of the plot, the far far background. The Akatsuki/Henrietta parts interest me and I did find myself wondering what kind of person Henrietta was in the real world. If she had a kid or younger relative or something and that's why she likes dressing up little girls in cute clothing. At least LH got me to wonder who the people in the story were in their real lives before getting trapped, and how it played into their personalities in game.

If you want a character anime this is the one, but I do want some action or at least interesting plot which the end half of the anime badly lacked.

I think the plot came and went here and there. I thought it didn't make sense that the people of the land would be upset with Adventurers because the Goblin King was crowned. It should have been the people of the land giving out the quest to stop it. The PoL just expected the Adventurers to know what was going on and to stop it. The world class magic was interesting though and to see what Shiroe did with it. Since it was world class magic that got them into the game it's likely going to be world class magic to get them out, and of the protagonists only Shiroe and Akatsuki to some extent know about it. I don't think Shiroe talked to anyone about it but I could be forgetful.

I do want to find out if the leader of the Debauchery Tea Party died or something like that. There's a whole lot of fixation on that leader and what she did to motivate Shiroe.
