Switch Lost Switch Game Cartridge-Replacement Options?

Hello,

Regarding the subject line, I tried searching the forums on this particular topic for a response but was unable to find a direct answer. I have a younger child who was playing the Kirby Star Allies game for Nintendo Switch with a couple of friends and somehow managed to misplace the physical game cartridge. GTA San Andreas sound
While I take full responsibility for not more closely monitoring his Nintendo Switch usage, I am just curious if there are any game cartridge replacement options provided I still have the original retail purchased case. Or is there an option for a digital download as an alternative if no options are available to replace the cartridge (save for buying another copy)? Any feedback/insight on this would be appreciated,

If you didn’t buy a protection plan (or are out of the warranty period), you’re out of luck.

You’re essentially stuck buying the game a second time, either physically or digitally

Sadly you have to file this under SoL, you will have to buy another game which digital would be the more safer buy.
