Madden 23 Ratings Update reveals most improved players (Week 9)
We're now at the midpoint of this year's NFL season with the impending Week 9 Madden 23 Ratings Update, and one caller to the Madden Ratings Hotline had a request.
Rather than focusing on the biggest superstars around the league, one fan wanted to know which players had proved themselves most since the season began.
The Madden Ratings Adjustor was kind enough to oblige, and we've now learned about three ratings taking another leap in Week 9 as the halfway point arrives.
However, the full Madden 23 Ratings Update for Week 9 has yet to be released and is expected to arrive by Thursday, November 10, 2022 at the latest.

Kerby Joseph, Detroit Lions
Right out of the gate, we've got rookie Kerby Joseph who has become a standout safety with the Lions.
After a strong start to the season, Joseph leveled up against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers last Sunday with 2 Red Zone INTs, 3 pass breakups, and 10 tackles.
Joseph started the year at 67 OVR and was stagnant until he got a 2-point boost in Week 7, 1-point boost in Week 8, and now gets a 5-point boost to carry him to 75 OVR as of Week 9.

Kenneth Walker III, Seattle Seahawks
On the offensive side of the ball, Michigan State alum and rookie running back Kenneth Walker III has become exactly what the Seattle Seahawks needed.
Effectively solidifying his role as starter, Walker has managed 5.1 yards per carry and is currently 4th in the league with 7 rushing touchdowns on the year behind only Nick Chubb, Derrick Henry, and Jamaal Williams.
Kenneth Walker III was just 77 OVR when the season began, but he got a 1-point boost in Week 5, 2-point boost in Week 7, and finally another 2-point boost to take him to 82 OVR.

Talanoa Hufanga, San Francisco 49ers
Lastly, we have perhaps the biggest mover of the year so far in second-year San Francisco 49ers safety Talanoa Hufanga.
Coming into his sophomore season at just 69 OVR, Hufanga has found a new gear as he now leads San Francisco with 3 INTs on the season including a 52-yard pick six in Week 4 against the Rams.
Hufanga has been on the rise constantly since starting the season at 69 OVR with 4-points in Week 1, 1-point in Week 2, 2-points in Week 4, 2-points in Week 5, and now 2-points in Week 9 for a collective 11-point boost to put his rating at 80 OVR.
