We saw how Mario Movie 1 took inspiration from the previous shows and games, and added some story around other games tangential to Mario. Seeing people predict Smash Bros. down the line would have me more excited for that than another Mario Movie. However, we know we will see a green dinosaur and probably some flashbacks in the next one. I feel like that won't be all. Wario is so much related to Mario that it's crazy we haven't even seen references to him yet. If we copied the Yoshi's Island DS story I wouldn't be surprised one bit. That would make the most sense to me.
