In a barrage of three back-to-back new game announcements at Microsoft’s E3 press conference comes news of a new Kinect game titled Matter.

Only a short amount of footage was shown at the press conference, but it appears that Matter is some sort of puzzle game. A silver ball is shown rolling around, over and above moving blocks. How the game’s mechanics work with Kinect remains to be seen, and it’s also unclear if Kinect is mandatory to play the game (though it appears that’s the case).

Matter is set for release in 2013.

I so tired of these simple games created for the casual gamer.

I think the causal gamers already has enough games for the kinects. Microsoft will you please just wake a blockbuster game like skyrim for the kinects. I do know skyrim has voice commands, but I want a game that is designed from the ground up for the kinects.

How would they go about? There is a reason the Wii is known as the console of the casual gamer and that's because generally it is very difficult to create something with depth that doesn't go over like a lead balloon in regards to motion control. Further if they did make something heavy for the kinect what are the odds that very many "hardcore" gamers would actually pony up for it? The Wii has several serious games, but most of them were skipped by the so-called "real" gamer.

Microsoft is getting lazy. Instead of creating a fully absorbing game with interactive gameplay, it seems like they have come with some lame game with boring gameplay. I won't be buying that Microsoft!

I don't even know why they would even waste their time making this. Sad thing is that even though its the game that nobody wants to see. I can see the casual gamer loving it and the game selling well.
