I don't think that's where we're going. I think that mechanic is designed after Mega Man 11. But, at the same time, I do believe they're inching towards that eventual Mega Man and X "crossover" storyline. The backgrounds are not telling me that Mega Man is close enough to a "Mega Man X" storyline. I think it's 3 storylines away from that Mega Man X storyline.

I also think they're working on a Mega Man X sequel, but it has to be done right... So Mega Man 11 and Dual Override are "tests" before they go balls deep on Mega Man X9 or something.
