The original Megaman games from the NES era are as classic as they get. Recently they came to both Andriod and IOS platforms and unfortunately they are not playing very well do to stutter and frame rate issues. If you truly wish to play them on mobile, load on a emulator and get yourself some ROMs.

Honestly, I have to wonder why you'd want to play Mega Man on a phone to begin. After all, the touch screen controls aren't exactly the best control method for games like this.

But yeah, it's still a shame Capcom screwed up this badly. Reminds me of how Sega messed up Sonic Genesis on the GBA. Or the terrible Earthworm Jim remakes on the same console.

It's is disappointing that Capcom messed up Mega Man which graphics and audio are not high resolution like other mobile games like Gangster Vegas, Asphalt 8, and Need for Speed mobile racing games.

Sometimes, game slowdown problems can be caused by background apps which the user or device maker pre-install on their device like Facebook, Instagram, Google Play Services, iOS app store, and WhatsApp which always run in the background, and use up some RAM, and CPU resources when the device is powered ON.

the Megaman X series would never work on mobile.

What's the reason that Megaman X won't work on mobile?

Would Megaman X work on handhelds like the Nintendo 3DS, and PSP Vita?

Reason is because the X series is a mad dashing and shooting game, a lot of times you very quickly need to hit three different buttons. It would work perfectly on 3DS or Vita but not on a touch screen mobile.

A mobile controller with buttons, and a Directional pad or joystick may work for playing Megaman X. Connecting a physically keyboard on Android and iOS could also work at competitively playing the game on mobile.

Capcom can slow down the action on mobile, or make a "easy" mode for X, so users on mobile can play the game on touch screen.

If you got to hook up an extra device on your mobile then you're better off just playing the console or PC versions of it. And the game is a fast pace one, you don't slow it down without making the already irritated fanbase more irritated.

Sometimes there are good sales where a game like Megaman cost less than a dollar like 50 cents, so using a mobile device can be a cheap way to play a game. The PS3 Controller is compatible with Android, so you dont need to buy another controller if you own a PS3 console.
