I don't plan on getting it, but I did see yesterday about the controversy with Kotaku. I won't link the article because I don't want to give it traffic, but they put out an article about how it emulates well on PC, and while I'm not into the Metroid series, that's a really scummy article since the game has only been out for, what 3 or 4 days now? That could easily kill the sales for game because I've seen a lot of support for it. Though I also saw a lot of people against it, but the fact anyone is like, "Yeah, lets emulate a 3 day old game because I don't want to give Nintendo money" is just gross. Especially since Nintendo is known to kill off series for poor sales.

Yeah I saw that and was written in poor taste not to mention the danger. It's going to spur someone to go looking for it and end up with some kind of bad malware, not to mention Nintnedo will go after anyone who downloads such a new ROM, the fines can be extemely hefty.

I know someone in the comments pointed out Nintendo follows them so I'm hoping Nintendo hits them with the legal hammer for that one. People say, "They aren't promoting piracy," but the last line of the article was something like, "Thank goodness for piracy and emulation" and suddenly that point becomes null and void.
I am glad to hear that everyone I've seen on Twitter playing it, is enjoying it though.

So I ended up beating this game tonight, really fun and really great, though I couldn't get all the collectables, way too hard and not really needed.

METROID DREAD looks like a fast actuon packed sci-fi shooter game. I like the look of the levels.

I'm more worried about the backtracking. Usually after beating a boss and getting spit out at some random location on the map, I always end up getting lost and then I just lose interest and quit. I mean I could probably just use a guide, but Idk. Maybe if I like it, I'll wait until the game goes down in price.

I used a guide, kept me to little back tracking, by the time you do have to back track, you got more than enough stuff to beat the game.

I figured I would want to get this one someday but if I did it would be from a Twitter giveaway or other means. I do like how it's getting more updates and the gameplay/graphics are more refined, but going off of the NES and Gameboy titles already on my 3DS I could easily get lost (I got semi-locked and had to reset on the NES one haha) but I enjoyed the movement of it much like Samus's movement in Melee. It would just add to my backlog though.
