Reports by Windows Central and Verge both suggest that the plans to port Android apps to Windows face some problems. This is disappointing for people who hope Apps from Android, and iOS gets ported to Windows.

But, there are already programs like Bluestacks, VirtualBox, etc which can run a full copy of Android inside a Window, so people have other options to run Android apps in Windows.

Unfortunately, people who use Windows Phone can't run Bluestacks, and Virtualbox to run Android inside a window, so Windows Phone users are stuck with just using Windows Phone Apps, and Web Browser Apps which work on Internet Explorer for Windows Phone.

This could be a possibility.

But, I think there is also a possibility that Microsoft is working on another mobile operating system, or giving up on Windows Phone, and may not want to add features to Windows Phone OS which is continously losing users to more popular phones like iPhone, and Google Android phones.
