Miyamoto threatens to shut down Zelda and Star Fox series?

The site gives no source, but says it's a bit like this:

The upcoming games have to be the best in the series or they'll retire the series for a while. Or something akin to that.

Still, your thoughts on that? I don't believe he was being serious, but it'd kinda suck if he was, since Skyward Sword isn't quite looking that good to outdo Ocarina of Time and such like.

How dumb, I shall be very disappointed if Zelda and Star Fox are retired. Considering Zelda and even Star Fox to an extent have had some of the best games in Nintendo's life.

I think this is complete rubbish.
They're probably misconstruing Miyamoto's comment and blowing it up out of all proportion. And even if he did mean what these rumours claim they do, it's not actually his decision. Iwata wouldn't allow two popular franchises to be put on hiatus.
