Dry Bowser in Mario Kart Wii. Sure I loved him in the game, but he was weird Nonetheless.
 
ROB from first MKDS and then later games. It was originally a robot thing designed to use a controller and not be some sort of character thing. But then they made it into a character.

Those humans in mario golf/tennis
 
Mega from Mega Man Powered Up. He attacks by kicking things, which seems hilarious at first because you can defeat a boss by kicking them in the groin (xD), but after a while it gets SUPER annoying since the range of his kick is quite mediocre.

I guess you've got a point. It's funnier yet how he's somehow a 'heavy' character.
 
Dry Bones in Mario Kart DS. Sure he was my favourite Character, but how could he be in it, while a regular old Koopa was absent from the game?
