The CEO position at Mozilla is changing hands. Mitchell Baker, who helped gain a 15% market share of the browser biz with Firefox is stepping into a more chill role. She’ll still be on the board as its chairman (chairperson?) and wants to stay active in the programs that have made the company such a success.
Stepping into her shoes, although hopefully not literally, is John Lilly, the companies current Chief Operating Officer. His first task will be to push Firefox 3.0 into the world in an effort to get even more Explorer users to switch over. It's in heavy testing right now and all through the Summer, hoping for a November, 2008 release.
