Today Polish developer Forever Entertainment published on its investor website a note announcing the signing of a deal with Square Enix.
According to the announcement, the Panzer Dragoon: Remake Dev will create several remakes based on an IP owned by Square Enix Japan.
The name of the IP has not been announced and it will be shared publicly once the global marketing campaign begins.
The remake will feature new graphics, but gameplay and story will remain the same as the original games.
Forever Entertainment will cover the costs of developing (and likely marketing) the remakes and will receive over 50% of the revenue generated by sales.
Hopefully one of the remakes is a Front Mission Remake! Front Mission 3 Remake would be nice! game has a great story, emotional ending and with 2 possible PLOT waifus based on player's decisions in the game lol Emma or Alisa
probably it will not be any of the "big" main ff titles like FF9 or FF8 as it's being developed by an outside dev. One of the Front Mission games was given to an outside dev before though that one was bad as they changed the gameplay completely, this time though they are not changing the gameplay and story so a good thing, front mission or not.
