There are none really, I know very well this happens.
People from eastern Europe do the exact same thing in western Europe, even though the eastern's economy is growing much harder than western's these days.

Something like healthy food or things that is really necessary for your self. The thinking is, "you like that thing but you really don't need it" chances are, you will end up wasting your money. For the case of a smart gift for $7, you can probably buy a second hand clothe or used electronic devices or other useful things that is $7. Well, I can understand that there aren't that many jobs here because of the population and such but I prefer working in my motherland more than anything.
